An afternoon stroll through the Mesozoic era! Show includes towering inflatable dinosaurs, one fake raccoon, and plenty of science fun. June 23rd, 2:00, in the Barstow Gym. See you there!

Meet and greet – On Thursday, March 31st from 5-6 pm, come and meet Amy Williams, our new librarian, and thank Christine Tate for all she has done for the library and wish her well in her new endeavor. An Evening with the Burke Family will follow, beginning at 6:30 PM.

February Break Activities (2/16-2/18)
Are the kids bouncing off the walls? Too cold to play outside?
Looking for free activities to do with your children over school vacation. Stop by the library!
Crafts: We will have self-directed crafts and Lego activities to keep little hands busy.
Movie Day at the Library!: Wednesday, 2/17 at 3 pm. Join us for a family friendly movie.
NOTE: We are open from 2-6 pm on T, W, TH during Barstow’s February Break.
Technique Tuesdays in February

Kathleen Wanner, from Green Mountain Fibers (http://www.greenmountainfibers.com/), will be teaching the knitting techniques that are listed below.
2/2 – Learn various cast on techniques that are used for different types of projects – skills may include long tail cast on, German twisted cast on, provisional cast on, 1×1 rib cast on.
2/9 – Learn various bind off techniques that are used for different types of projects – skills may include basic bind off, Jeny’s super stretchy bind off, lacy bind off, picot bind off (w/Mary Brough).
2/16 – Seaming – 3-needle bind off, Kitchener stitch, sewn together seams.
2/23 – Introduction to lace knitting – basic lace feather and fan, learn to read patterns and charts, techniques for keeping track of your lace knitting.
