Join us by the fire and fellowship with neighbors while knitting, playing Scrabble, or both! Let’s survive the remainder of the winter together!

New to Knitting?  Want to learn to knit?

On the following Thursdays, an instructor will be available to teach or answer questions; February 26th, March 12th & 19th.  If you have needles (size 8 or larger of moderate length) and yarn, please bring them, if not, we will provide supplies for you to practice with.

Lego Week

Looking for something to do over February Break?

Stop by the library and play with Legos!

Come and go between 2 pm-6 pm.

 WeDo Lego centers (for ages 8 and up)

Duplo Legos (for 3 and under)

and just plain Legos (for ages 5 and up)!

 

Fun for the whole family!

 

No sign-up required.  Children age 9 and under must be accompanied by an adult.

The Chittenden Public Library will be open during Barstow’s December Recess.

Our holiday hours will be as follows:

Tuesday, December 23rd 2pm-6pm (*Note change in hours)
Saturday, December 27th 9am-1pm
Tuesday, December 30th 2pm-6pm (*Note change in hours)
Saturday, January 3rd 9am-1pm
We are closed on the following days:
Christmas Eve (12/24)

New Year’s Eve (12/31)

Parade, Vendors, Fireworks!

How can you help? Help us raise the $2000 needed to once again have fireworks as the finale of Chittenden Day. Simply email us at chittendenpl@gmail.com for more details.


How do I become a vendor? Are you a local business, club, non-profit, or do you have a trade that you want to sell or share? Please contact Dave Smith at 483-2298.

Do you want to be in a parade? We are looking for local clubs and organizations to march in the Chittenden Day Parade, we will even take local politicians. If you are interested in being in our hometown parade, please contact Marilyn Case at 773-6308.

Parade Bike Contest: The Chittenden Public Library will be sponsoring a bike contest for kids, ages preschool-6th grade. Enter a bike in the parade and become eligible for a drawing to win free movie tickets!  Arrive at 4:45 at the Chittenden Town Office building with your decorated bike, to fill out a drawing card, and ride your decorated bike in the parade!
